About this guide
Disclaimer and credits
This guide helps you compare flights and plan your day. Your operator’s booking confirmation and current instructions are the details to use for travel.
Tour information
Published tour details can change after the check date shown on a flight brief. Confirm the departure terminal, check-in time, pickup arrangements, inclusions and booking conditions with the operator or seller before booking.
We do not operate flights, sell tickets or handle bookings. This site does not provide flight navigation, safety ratings or guarantees about routes, weather or views.
Maps and canyon sections
Maps show geographic orientation and airport reference points, rather than terminal entrances or flight paths. Park and reservation boundaries are generalized for display. Mapped water extent is not a live reservoir shoreline.
Canyon sections follow straight lines across elevation data. The vertical exaggeration is stated beside each drawing. They do not show a surveyed flight route or an operator’s landing site. Use the FAA Grand Canyon chart for aviation information. Our maps are not for navigation.
Geographic data
- Shaded relief, contours and canyon sections: USGS 3DEP / SRTM elevation data, distributed through AWS Terrain Tiles.
- Colorado River and mapped Lake Mead extent: USGS National Hydrography Dataset.
- National park boundary: National Park Service, Land Resources Division.
- Hualapai Indian Reservation boundary: US Census Bureau, TIGER/Line.
- Airport reference points: FAA data via AirNav for GCN, BVU and 1G4.

Images
The homepage cover and sharing image are original AI-generated canyon illustrations made for Helicopter Tour Finder. They depict an imagined canyon viewpoint, not a verified location, current weather or a view promised on a particular tour.
The Lipan Point photograph, taken on 13 October 2007, was created by Grand Canyon National Park (NPS) and is a public-domain U.S. federal government work. It appears on the South Rim page. It shows a canyon viewpoint, rather than a view promised on a particular tour.
Images are resized or cropped for their placement, and embedded metadata is removed.
